Disability Access

We want everyone to enjoy Mars Island and are working hard to make it as accessible as possible.

Access around the site

The event is set on one of Croatia’s historical Dalmatian Islands. The terrain is beautiful but rugged, hosting rocky beaches, woodland, and landscaped areas.

The majority of the festival site ground surface is comprised of a mixture of grass and gravel. There are a number of pathways that run through the site, one of which is a tarmac covered road, linking the entertainment areas, with the others being more natural. There is occasional steep terrain, however the majority of the island has a more gentle undulation. Trakway will be laid wherever necessary in order to improve the existing ground surface. Please be aware that you will have to cover some areas of grass and gravel to enter some areas.

Please note that the concert arena is smooth stone and there is a viewing platform for attendees. Customers should use the contact form ahead of the event should you require a viewing platform wristband.

We will consider any request made by guests with disabilities and do our utmost to ensure that all of our guests have equal enjoyment of the activities on offer at the festival. Please make any request as far in advance as possible in order to ensure we have as much time as possible to fulfill requests. Additionally, if you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

Accessible Accommodations

The existing accommodations have not been adapted for disabled access. Ramps will be provided where necessary, with additional accessible toilets and showers. The Moonlight Package will be our primary accessible accommodation, however should you wish to book another ticket package, please get in touch and we’d be happy to discuss the ways in which we can adapt the spaces. All accommodation is adjacent to the tarmac road. If required, you will have access to a fridge in order to store medication.

Please note that Sunrise, Sunset, and Meridian Passes include a fridge in your accommodation. Those with Moonlight tickets will be able to store their medication at the medical centre. Please get in touch if you have any specific requirements.

Service Animals

Service animals are permitted throughout the festival grounds, however this does not include emotional support, therapy, or companion animals. If you have a service animal and would like to attend the event, please contact us in advance and we will provide credentials. Any animals without credentials will be turned away and tickets will not be refunded.

Please note that the event will be strict in enforcing the following rules:

  • Any ticket holder with a service animal will be responsible at all times for the animal and will be liable for any damage or injury.
  • All service animals must be correctly harnessed, leashed, and tethered within reason subject to any requirements of the animal’s work. In which case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or alternative effective controls.
  • Service animals must be housebroken and use service animal relief areas.
